Kim Delaney, an American actress, is best known for her character detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series for which she won the Emmy Award. Also, she has appeared in dramas such as All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. She was born as the only child of a high-ranking executive in the United Auto Workers and a homemaker Delaney was raised with four brothers. While she had a childhood aspiration to become a journalist, it wasn't until the time of her high school days that Delaney began to model.
